Free Online Music & Audio Tools
25 free online music tools: BPM and musical key detection, sample editing, drum sequencer, MIDI generation and media conversion. Audio stays on your device.
Sample Slicer
Turn a loop into playable one-shots. Detect transients, edit slice boundaries and export a WAV or organized slice ZIP.
808 Tuner
Find the fundamental note and cents offset of a tonal bass sample, then tune it to your project.
Pocket Groove
Build four bars of drums with velocity, swing, seeded variation and MIDI, WAV or stem export.
Chord Compass
Explore diatonic chords, inversions, bass and arpeggios, with multi-track MIDI export.
Reference Desk
Compare two tracks with RMS level matching, sample peak, stereo correlation and relative spectrum.
Delivery Pack
Rename stems, detect identical files and bundle audio, notes and a manifest into one ZIP.
BPM Detector
Estimate tempo from spectral onsets and rhythmic periodicity. Compare half-time and double-time candidates with confidence guidance.
Musical Key Detector
Estimate a song's major or minor key using pitch-class energy and tonal profiles, with alternative keys and a chroma chart.
Audio Trimmer
Cut a precise time selection or remove leading and trailing silence, then export a clean WAV.
Peak Normalizer
Set a sample-peak ceiling while preserving the dynamics of the original recording.
Reverse Audio
Reverse a sample, texture or transition while retaining its channels and sample rate.
Fade Designer
Apply independent fade-in and fade-out times with linear or equal-power curves.
Mono Converter
Fold stereo to mono, or extract only the left, right, mid or side signal.
Stereo Width
Adjust the mid/side balance of stereo audio and check the resulting sample peaks.
DC Offset Removal
Remove each channel's mean offset to recenter the waveform around zero.
Polarity Inverter
Invert the left, right or both channels for practical phase and cancellation checks.
Spectrum & Dynamics
Inspect relative frequency energy, RMS, crest factor, sample peak, DC offset and stereo correlation.
Media Converter
Convert browser-supported audio to WAV, MP3, AIFF or browser-available OGG/WebM audio files.
Tone Generator
Generate a sine, triangle or band-limited saw/square test tone with precise frequency and duration.
Metronome
Create a tempo-accurate click track with bar accents and WAV export.
Tap Tempo
Tap along with music to estimate BPM from recent beat intervals and see timing consistency.
Delay Time Calculator
Convert tempo to straight, dotted and triplet delay times and modulation frequencies.
Loop Length Calculator
Calculate a loop's exact tempo from duration and bar count, or find the duration for a target tempo.
Scale MIDI Generator
Audition major, minor, pentatonic and modal scales, then export a MIDI practice or melody starting point.
BPM & Key Detector

About BEATBENCH
BEATBENCH is a free collection of browser-based music and audio utilities for beatmakers, producers, sound designers and anyone who needs a quick answer about a file. It covers tempo and key detection, sample slicing, 808 tuning, drum and chord sketching, level and stereo tools, reference comparison, format conversion and a few musical calculators.
Getting started
- Pick a tool from the grid, the sidebar or the search box. The category buttons filter the list into Analyze, Edit audio, Create and Calculate.
- Drop an audio file onto the upload area, or press Load example to try the tool with audio generated inside the app.
- Adjust the controls, then press the main action button such as Process audio. Use Original and Result to compare by ear.
- Download the result as WAV, MP3, AIFF, MIDI, ZIP or a JSON report, depending on the tool.
- Press Esc at any time to stop all playback, and use the language link in the sidebar to switch between English and Turkish.
Good habits
- If you are unsure where to start, use BPM & Key Detector on a finished loop, then send the numbers to the Delay Time Calculator or Loop Length Calculator.
- Keep an uncompressed WAV master of everything you edit. Lossy files such as MP3 are accepted if your browser can decode them, but they cannot regain detail that was already removed.
- Treat every analysis result as a strong hint rather than a verdict. Compare the alternatives, listen, and confirm tempo and key by ear.
- The edit tools are small on purpose. Chain them one at a time: trim, fade, normalize, then convert.
Frequently asked questions
Are my audio files uploaded to a server?
No. Decoding, analysis, editing and exporting run inside your browser tab, so your audio files are not sent to BEATBENCH for processing. Closing the tab discards the loaded audio.
Do I need an account or a plugin?
No account, installation or plugin is required. The tools run in a modern desktop or mobile browser. Support for some input formats depends on the codecs your browser provides, and PCM WAV is the most predictable choice.
How large can a file be?
Audio tools accept mono or stereo files up to 100 MB and ten minutes. The Delivery Pack tool takes up to 120 files and 250 MB in total. Tempo and key analysis look at the first 150 seconds.
